We are seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Modern TV Broadcast Technology Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of innovative broadcast technology to deliver high-quality television & streaming content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and maintain state-of-the-art broadcast equipment to guarantee optimal performance during live TV broadcasts & streaming.
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of virtual and augmented reality elements in a new state-of-the-art, immersive studio for enhanced viewer experiences.
• Collaborate with the production team to implement and troubleshoot advanced broadcast systems, including cameras, virtual reality systems, audio equipment, and video editing tools.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies to recommend and implement upgrades that improve overall broadcast & streaming capabilities.
• Conduct regular system checks, diagnose technical issues, and provide swift solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate systems with network infrastructure and ensure secure and efficient data flow.
• Train and support production staff in the use of new technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusiveness.
• Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance the overall production process.
• Stay on top of relevant broadcast standards and regulations to ensure compliance and uphold the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with external vendors and technical partners to explore and implement new technologies that align with the station's needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in leading and troubleshooting broadcast technology systems.
• Familiarity with virtual and augmented reality technologies in a broadcasting context.
• Knowledge of advanced broadcast systems, including cameras, audio equipment, and video editing tools.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to address technical issues promptly.
• Collaboration skills to work seamlessly with production teams.
• Ability to train and support production staff in adopting new broadcast technologies.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest advancements in broadcast & streaming technology.
• Experience in integrating broadcast systems with network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with relevant broadcast standards and regulations.
