bpg is an award winning, fully-integrated advertising agency creating cohesive campaigns through digital, print, and broadcast, from concept all the way through to the finished product. bpg is seeking a Print Production Manager to join our growing Print department.
The Production Manager will perform the day-to-day tasks of the Print Production department, whilst also overseeing key art finishing, building all mechanicals, and also managing sensitive creative assets. Candidate must be a quick learner, self-starter, and wear many hats in our fast paced environment; for example, art direction and photography experience are a definite positive.
Duties/Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Working closely with finishers: monitoring their progress, and managing the proofing process
- Building all mechanicals for finished artwork
- Managing sensitive creative assets, both digital and physical, and adhering to strict industry security requirements
- Receiving, storing, and managing assets and photography
- Creation of PDF presentations and decks
- Mounting and cutting boards
- Maintaining Production-specific inventory of supplies
Requirements:
- Candidate must have 3-5 years experience in Print Production
- Must be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Must be fluent in all forms of Print Production - including, but not limited to, large format printing, mounting, building mechanicals, managing finishers, proofing, press-checks, asset management, etc
- Must be proficient in OSX, Microsoft Office, FileMaker
- Must be a team player
- Must be a visual problem solver
- Must have a good sense of design, layout, and typography
- Must pay attention to detail
