POSITION OVERVIEW:
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Sales and Operations, the Merchandise Planning Manager is responsible for driving financial success through optimization of inventory purchasing, customer replenishment and insightful research.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
· Drive financial results that maximize sales and bottom line profitability.
· Manage the financial success of Consumer Products by maintaining acceptable in-stock levels and inventory turn goals.
· Responsible for compiling all data from historical, regions heads, sales reps and outside partners to generate meaningful forecasting and synergy.
· Utilizing Zumba business systems and/or retailer portals in analysis of historical data, POS and current trends to identify opportunities and risks at the channel/customer/product/store levels that can we used in guiding replenishment and sales strategies.
· Prepare new product rollout strategies with our Retail partners.
· Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan, forecast sales and inventories on a weekly/monthly/seasonal basis.
· Continuous monitoring of inventory levels of finished goods, components and WIP, while providing timely and accurate re-projections.
· Aligned with Procurement in the establishing of supplier lead times, supply or capacity constraints and proper re-order points based on sales velocity and sales forecast.
· Deliver reporting - Weekly Snapshot, Best/Worst Sellers, On Order, Gross Margin by channel/region/customer, and projected inventory carry.
· Test and help implement new data systems and reporting tools
· Manage projects internally by coordinating timing, deliverables and prioritization of workload from inception to completion.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in related field and 3+ years in an analytic role, preferably with global scope.
· MBA a plus!
· Ability to gather and interpret data for various reports
· Results focused and uses performance targets and goals to drive activites
· Proven knowledge & understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint
Power user of Excel (formulas, vlookup, pivot tables) and Planning Systems
Experience with working in an ERP, business system and/or BI platform required.
Strong ability to simplify complex information for general audience ingestion.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Experience working across a complex organizational matrix
Previous experience in the retail industry preferred
