Women in Animation is a 501 C3 nonprofit, based in Los Angeles. We are looking for a part time coordinator for our board of volunteers. This position is approximately 10-15 hours a week on average some weeks are higher. It includes some weekend and evening hours, and has potential to grow with the organization. Ideal for a student, writer, mom returning to the work force and would like some flexible hours. This is a remote position, but will attend events and meetings, so must be in the greater Los Angeles area.
Official start date will be January 5th, with some training to take place in mid-end of December, not on the holidays.
Hourly rate of $15 to start.
Duties & Tasks:
Event Coordination, including conferences and festivals outside of Los Angeles
Working with programming committee to plan and execute events
Overseeing events on site and following up with featured guests and attendees as needed.
Coordinator for Board of Volunteers
Attending meetings and communicating between committees
Scheduling calls and meetings.
Organizing internal files and records
Communicating with greater public about WIA
Database Administration:
Tracking membership statistics
Communicating with members and contacts
Overseeing online financial transactions
Website Administration:
Updating webpages: including event details, original content (e.g. photos & videos), and special programs.
Social Media:
Working with our Marketing & Publicity committees on social media strategies and event promotion
Scheduling and creating content for social media accounts.
Membership:
Assisting Membership committee with membership drives (in studio and online)
Assisting Mentorship committee with promoting, sorting and notifying mentorship candidates
Skills & Experience:
Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be detail oriented, a self-starter, extremely diplomatic, able to juggle multiple projects, and very agile.
Proficient in:
Website platforms (e.g. Wix, Wordpress, Wild Apricot, etc)
Social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Tumblr)
