Manage Wind-up Records key marketing initiatives and strategy; act as point person on assigned releases and projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as internal point person on assigned releases. Provide support and coordinate strategy for additional artist releases.
- Manage social media platforms artists
- Develop and execute tour marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Manage Street Team / College Marketing campaigns
- Manage direct to consumer fan initiatives including fan clubs and ticket partnerships
- Organize and oversee marketing department weekly reporting
Outline of Specific Functions:
1. Act as Internal Point Person on Assigned Releases. Provide support and coordinate strategy for additional artist releases.
a. act as main point of contact with department heads, artist management, booking agents to ensure up to date communication on project - both internally and externally
b. Work with marketing team and departments to develop marketing strategy and release timeline. Proactively coordinate with departments to ensure all assigned releases stay on schedule and marketing campaigns are maximized.
c. Work with A&R, Creative, Video, Digital team to create assets needed for project release
d. Coordinate with marketing department and managers to provide updates, reporting, timelines, pitch information as needed.
2. Manage Social Media Platforms and Strategy for Artists and Label
a. Work with the marketing team to develop social media strategy for artists
b. Communicate strategy and best practices to assigned bands / provide tools (images, smartURLs, etc) to maximize strategy
c. Provide back-up posts to support band / management when necessary
d. Develop social / engagement strategy to achieve social, sales, streaming growth
3. Develop and Execute Tour Marketing Initiatives and Campaigns
a. Coordinate with marketing team to develop unique strategy for tour marketing
b. Work closely with bands, management, and tour partners to implement marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns and social campaigns, with the goal of building audience and elevating tour
c. Develop and implement in-venue marketing opportunities for bands (contesting, signage, fan acquisition campaigns, etc)
d. Manage internal tour schedules
e. Manage internal tour updates to include road reports, music sales, merch sales
4. Manage Street Team / College Marketing Campaigns
a. Identify tour / album release / single release opportunities for street team marketing
b. Solicit plans from college rep team
c. Collaborate with college rep teams /marketing dept to identify effective marketing tools for campaigns
5. Manage direct to consumer fan initiatives including fan clubs and ticket partnerships
a. Tied to tour marketing, manage ticket initiatives including pre-sales and music & ticket bundles
b. Manage fan club opportunities (when applicable) for artists / tours
c. Setup campaigns with key d2c accounts to maximize artist exposure and opportunity
6. Organize and Oversee Marketing Dept Weekly Reporting
a. Run weekly Soundscan, stream social reports. Distribute internally and to band management.
b. Run weekly marketing updates to include highlights on press, sales, tour, socials - distribute internally and to band management
c. Manage Internal Google docs including artist timelines, artist tour schedules, publicity recaps
Requirements:
- College graduate with 2+ years of work experience in music or entertainment / creative field
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Understanding of and/or experience with social media platforms and strategy
- Ability to multi-task and maintain focus on projects at varying priority levels
- Thrive in a fast-paced high pressure environment
- Dynamic, outgoing, and forward-thinking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google docs, and social media platforms
- Self-motivated attitude; ability to work proactively at all times
- General agreement and acceptance of the Company's core values
