POSITION SUMMARY: This key role is responsible for driving the organization's revenue growth and optimizing the utilization of represented talent including Photographers, Hair & Makeup artists, On Figure and Off Figure Stylists in all media format, including but not limited to print, video and digital. The Booker/Agent is Responsible for driving, penetrating and owning customer relationship for a given advertisement/region/market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Marketing representative, representing Wilhelmina's artists and influencers to customer base and build the business across product lines and geographic boundaries;
- Initiate and develop ongoing relationships with Ad agency and Advertising decision makers, Public Relations and Media Agencies, Beauty Clients, Designers, Magazine/Editorial Creative Directors, Fashion Directors, Non represented Photographers, Videographers and other industry players to identify and develop talent placement opportunities and lead and facilitate the closing of talent placement opportunities in advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, editorials, videos and celebrity personal apperances;
- Demonstrable ability to identify and develop artists with successful booking and income potential;
- Work closely with prospective clients to source artists to appear in print, video, digital or other media advertising campaigns;
- Schedule appointments and meetings for artists with potential clients and ensuring the Artist has all pertinent information for the shoot, arrives when expected, and is properly prepared for the booking;
- Advocate for artists and negotiate fees;
- Find and develop new artists and clients;
- When working on spokesperson on on-air projects for Artists, understand, review and analyze every aspect of individual advertising campaign or on-air project to ensure no conflict of interest between product(s) advertised and artists prior endorsements and/or work;
- Create and develop inventive, imaginative and original concepts to propose Artists for perspective clients in all media formats and outlets;
- Manage business affairs for talent including contract negotiations, individual booking negotiations, invoicing and payment internal followup;
- Develop and expanding the existing database of artists, making sure good general artist management is in place;
- Stay current with latest developments in the advertising sector and fashion/editorial, celebrity and musician arenas; and
- Serve as subject matter expert on advertising trends, as well as demographic target's for specific advertisers and their products.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent problem solving and attention to detail and follow through;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively;
- Maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality;
- Tactfulness and an eye for talent;
- Interest in fashion; and
- Self-motivated.
