Wild Woods Picture and Sound is looking for strong skill set operators, to run light Editorial Assist duties and mastering level file creation for domestic and international deliverables.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and full service post facility that supports studio, network and streaming content providers. The successful candidate will possess the following proficiencies:
• Encode, transcode and export operations from various NLE and hardware systems
• Strong Avid Media Composer v8.6 > and FCP 7/10 skills and knowledge of both in a working post environment ranging from SD through 4k content
• Strong Tape operations skills on all SD/HD formats and associated peripheral equipment
• Hardware and Software Closed Caption conform, conversion, inject and playout.
• Standards conversion with NLE, Hardware and Software solutions (Teranex, Alchemist XF)
• DCP creation and validation
• Experience with and specification knowledge of iTunes, Netflix and Amazon workflows
• Strong knowledge of routing systems, patch panel configurations, hardware based limiters, encode/decode hardware, rasterizers and other devices inherent in a professional post environment
• Ability to relink media, sequence management and ingest/export operations in Avid Media Composer
Prerequisites and desired traits of the successful candidate are as follows:
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong signal flow knowledge and basic engineering understanding
• On-boarding experience a plus
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Microsoft Excel and Word experience
• Cinedeck familiarity a plus
• Understanding and use of Video Scopes, Rasterizers, DK metering and ability to interpret data
• DVS Clipster, Myst After Effects, Easy DCP familiarity a plus
