Wild woods Picture and Sound is looking for a Supervisor of Digital Media Operations.
The position reports to the Director of Technical Operations and is charged with the daily operations of the Digital Media Department.
Knowledge Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of facility management experience related to mastering and technical operations.
Strong knowledge and experience with:
- Mastering, deliverable requirements and packaging for iTunes, Amazon, Netflix, YouTube and similar digital platform networks.
- Mastering and deliverable requirements for domestic network channels both scripted and unscripted.
- Mastering and deliverable requirements for international distribution companies with regards to programming, localization and versioning requirements and standards.
- Understanding and operator level knowledge of Avid and FCP NLE systems.
- Deep understanding of HD > 4k - Tape and file based workflows
- DCP and IMF creation, validation, process and procedures.
- 5 Point, Technical and Master QC process, procedures and reports.
- Cinedeck workflow operation a plus.
- Use of Scheduleall software for department management.
- Archival process and procedures.
- Storage management, IT communications and infrastructure management.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Daily / Weekly Operations expectations:
- Provide departmental leadership under direction of DTO.
- Enforcement of policy and procedures.
- Training on process, procedures, workflows, technical context, etc...
- Trouble shooting and conflict resolutions.
- Track productivity and quality metrics within department.
- Monitor projects OOP (out of package) and Overage approvals.
- Monitor and approve department staff schedules and overtime.
- Participate in weekly production meeting regarding departmental capacity and staffing.
- Maintain organized detailed appearance of the DMO.
- Accountable for equipment rentals and returns for department.
