Wild Obscura Films is seeking a highly-motivated, resourceful intern for the fall semester.
Wild Obscura Films is a NY-based independent production company focused on stories, characters and content driven by the female gaze. Striving for the complex, the dark, the unexpected, our goal is to revolutionize the modern cinematic experience and bring light to new voices previously unheard and unseen.
The intern will be the right-hand to the company's producers. They will see the development process from the ground up: packaging and financing a film, pitching and developing projects, entertainment law, and film marketing. This is not a typical internship. They will learn more than script coverage and coffee orders.
REQUIRED:
• 1-2 Days a week in the office
• Professional correspondence
• Knowledge of Google Suite
• Research skills
• Some editing skills
• Social Media
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite preferred but not required
• Passion for learning more about the industry
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing producer's calendar
• Research for current and upcoming projects
• Organizing and generating informational spreadsheets
• Taking minutes during company meetings
• Writing notes during pitch and writing sessions
• Posting on company's social media pages
• Some script coverage
