Santa Monica-based media company Whalerock Industries is currently looking for motivated and enthusiastic interns to work on our digital properties for winter/spring 2015. Founded in 2007, Whalerock Industries is an independent media company with three divisions – television, feature film and digital.
The Design Intern at Whalerock Industries works directly within the design team and participates in many aspects of the design process. This person will assist the team on a broad range of projects while gaining valuable experience and insight into the inner workings of a creative company. This person will have the opportunity to assist on some of the most innovative web, mobile, and tablet experiences.
Requirements:
• Must be entering Junior or Senior year working towards a BFA/BA in Design, Visual Communication, or related field at an accredited university or college. Recent graduates (one year or less) may also be considered.
• A solid grasp of design fundamentals.
• Ability to think conceptually.
• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe design software.
• Ability to work in teams and independently.
• An enthusiastic can-do attitude and strong desire to learn.
• Strong design-centric portfolio.
The winter/spring internship runs January 19th- April 17th. This is a paid internship and students will work 2 days a week (16 hours total).
