Wonderwall’s editor…
Will
• Report directly to Lead Editor
• Write, research and post engaging daily content (e.g. galleries and articles) with speed and accuracy
• Write with a point-of-view; be clever and creative
• Package partner content in our CMS
• Collaborate with other editors and interns
• Manage social media platform(s)
• Interview film and TV personalities
• Attend red carpet premieres, junkets, and company events when needed as a representative of the brand
• Weekend duty (once a month)
• Take part in monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc brainstorms
Is
• Clever and creative
• Unafraid to proclaim an undying of all things celebrity
• Social media savvy
• An excellent writer with top editing skills
• A quick thinker, creative, enthusiastic, efficient and able to work independently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable of publishing tools and applications, as well as understanding of basic principles of Web content production mandatory including hands on experience with CMS publishing systems.
Has
• 2-3 years working in the online entertainment journalism space
• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or a related field
• Familiarity with photo editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop) and content management systems
• Social media savvy
• Strong contacts within the television & movie industries (publicists, networks, etc.) is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills are a must
