Whalerock Industries is looking for a Data Analyst to be an integral part of the Marketing & Analytics team at Whalerock Industries. He/She will focus on analyzing and enhancing Whalerock's digital brand performance. This is agreat opportunity for someone with excellent quantitative skills and excitement for working in fast-paced innovative teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about data and is able to generate meaningful and actionable insights. This person will be expected to interface with teams across the organization to aid in data driven decision making.
The ideal candidate…
Will…
• Gather, track and analyze KPI’s through regular monitoring of performance on Whalerock’s digital properties.
• Define tracking requirements for data collection and provide data validation on custom events and custom variables.
• Create and maintain analytics tags via Google Tag manager and work closely with developers on implementation.
• Identify trends, flag anomalies in site and app performance, and effectively communicate findings with key stakeholders like Product, Editorial, Ad Sales, Marketing, etc.
• Create and distribute dashboards and insights via regular and ad-hoc reporting utilizing analytics platforms (Tableau, Google Analytics, Adobe SiteCatalyst, etc.) across key stakeholders (product, design, ad sales, etc.
• Measure and analyze site clickstream data, traffic patterns, traffic sources, funnel conversion, as well as content and product performance.
• Stay up to date on the latest technologies and trends in web and app analytics and data collection.
• Manage and fulfill requests for ad hoc reporting.
Is…
• Understanding of web and app KPI’s, experience with web and social media analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Omniture, ComScore, Facebook Insights, Big Query, etc. and the ability to tie together data from multiple sources to tell a story. Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau a plus.
• Able to present data to key stakeholders in an effective manner that draws insights and leads to actionable recommendations is crucial.
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with efficient time-management skills.
• A fast starter with the ability to multitask and pivot quicklyi n a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• One that thrives in environments and on projects that are in a developing stage, and maintains a long-term vision for the future.
Has…
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage and analyze large sets of data.
• Experience implementing data tracking through GA, GTM and Omniture.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a business or quantitative field) and 2-4 years relevant professional experience.
