CBS-58 seeks a Morning Executive Producer for News Content to be the leader of the morning/noon on air newscasts , and on-line and digital news content. This position will be responsible for overseeing and executing big picture plans that are developed in collaboration with the News Director and Assistant News Director. This person will also supervise staff gathering and producing news content on all on air, digital and social media platforms including the rundown and approval of scripts, working with morning and noon reporters, multi-media journalists and photographers on assigned content and presentation. Individual will be responsible for providing staff feedback, reviewing work and conducting annual performance reviews. You will actively contribute to long and short term planning as it relates to the morning and noon newscasts and will work closely with other newsroom management on scheduling of producers and other news staff. Position requires excellent news judgment including an understanding of the importance of breaking news and severe weather coverage. Ideal candidate is an excellent team builder and problem solver with the ability to fill in as a line producer as needed. Must have good writing and copy editing skills and an understanding of branding, maintaining and growing the station brand including working with other departments to deliver the best possible messages about our morning and noon newscasts. Additionally you must understand and execute the best possible on-line and digital content as it relates the morning/noon news. This includes driving our social media content, managing post-newscast meetings and leading the follow up on the newscasts. A strong sense of innovation and a desire to win are essential. Minimum two years' experience as an Executive Producer with proven leadership in the newsroom. Bachelor's degree in journalism or multi-media journalism preferred. EOE
