Overview
This position will be working in the digital media division of the athlete management department at the Wasserman in Los Angeles. This division manages the digital properties of Wasserman athletes, including but not limited to client websites, Facebook fan pages, and Twitter accounts. This intern will help with research, content creation, analytics reporting, and sponsorship support and other tasks pertaining to digital media support of Wasserman athletes. Intern will report to the Manager, Digital Marketing and VP of Digital Marketing in the Team Sports department.
Educational Benefit to Student:
Interns will attain a rewarding learning experience by interning for a large sports/entertainment company, as well as learning the importance of business organization and management. They will make connections with industry leaders to obtain exposure to the strategies behind digital management and marketing in sports.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be organized, self-motivated, and enthusiastic. They must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and good communication skills. Candidates should have an interest in sports (especially NBA basketball), and actively be immersed and follow professional athletes on social media. Candidates with design, social media management, and web content, development and/or web management experience are strongly preferred. Must be able to earn college credit for internship.
Preferred Experience:
We encourage students with experience in social media management and marketing, web content creation and management, and/or development to apply. Sports fans are a huge plus!
