UX Designer (Temp / Part-Time)
Department Description:
The IT department is responsible for all service delivery requests within Corporate IT. The UX team is responsible for designing and architecting digital products and experiences for the business.
High Level Job Description:
During this internship, you will assist in translating business requirements into clean, usable, and elegant designs in the form of sketches, wireframes, flows and prototypes. You will work closely with the UX team on product design, enhancements, and the choreography between the user and system. Pieces of the design work will be carved off and entrusted to you. Projects can vary from complex backoffice, B2B, B2C, and artist management across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Strong interest or Major in HCI, UX or related field with relevant coursework completed
• Proficiency with UX Design tools (e.g. InDesign, Omnigraffle, JustinMind, etc.)
• Experience in building digital products and UX prototypes
• Understanding of pattern libraries
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
• Curious about the digital space and up on the latest trends
• Talented, creative thinker who is comfortable sharing brilliant ideas
• Hard working – all the genius is for naught if it doesn’t get to production and make an impact
Education Required/Preferred:
• Ideal candidate will be working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree in technology, design, business or a related discipline.
