Department Description:
Custom Products is a shared-services department with our own sales staff, as well as, being available to WMG field reps and our account base to provide all sorts of Premium products (CD’s, vinyl, digital) . Custom Products brings in incremental revenue from non-traditional sources (i.e. Agencies, Brands, client base).
High Level Job Description:
Provide temporary support to the Director of Custom Products for 6 months.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Setting up all PLM selections in the various WMG systems (GCDM, Nufis, System ESS)
• Managing all aspects of music production including package set up with Pricing Controls, setting up Bill Of Materials in ESS and providing manual Bill Of Materials to vinyl manufacturer’s, manufacturing and shipping for all Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) titles.
• Process and input all purchase orders for TPM customers and Premium (PLM) customers.
• Research, gather and prepare source material for PLM packages which may include procuring source material with the assistance of WEA Studio Services. Provide collected source material to Media Asset
• Supervisor and work with them to provide references copies for material for in house and customer approval, which will eventually lead to the production of a master for manufacturing.
• Maintain print inventory for PLM packages and order package components as necessary.
• Close out packing slips on all manual orders.
• Resolve customer issues including but not limited to shipping problems, obtain proofs of delivery, processing return authorizations and handling customer credit issues.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• IBM/MAC literate: Microsoft Office, Outlook, ESS Order Management system, Legacy, SmarTerm, Nufis and Internet savvy.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills – with emphasis on the ability to direct people and processes to maximize results
• Must be highly organized, self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
• Previous experience with physical product manufacturing and inventory control
Education Required:
One to three years experience in the music industry, ideally with a background in production
