Department Description: The Talent Acquisition department is responsible for providing the leadership, management and delivery of domestic recruitment efforts for Warner Music Group. This includes the development and delivery of effective recruitment programs and leveraging best practices to meet the business challenges and objectives of Warner Music Group.
High Level Job Description: The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing and leading talent acquisition strategies for Warner Music Group’s domestic internship program. This role is responsible for ensuring that all talent needs are sourced and placed across the organization.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Manage and direct recruitment life cycle for WMG Internship Program across all business units (i.e. sourcing, interviewing, scheduling)
• Oversee, train, and manage HR interns on assignments and project-related tasks
• Coach and counsel managers on all recruitment and interviewing processes related to the internship program
• Responsible for planning, coordinating and attending intern events internally and career fairs at universities in New York City.
• Troubleshoot and provide corrective action for all levels of intern relations issues (i.e. employee complaints, disciplinary actions, HR compliance etc.). Includes partnering with HR colleagues and internal legal counsel to project-manage and resolve issues.
• Manage partnership and serve as key liaison between WMG and targeted universities domestically to establish strong relationships with career advisory departments.
• Responsible for intern related file maintenance, compliance, and department organization.
• Administer intern evaluations
• Partner with WMG Compliance team regarding background checks for interns and full time employees, managing Adverse Action process.
• Generate weekly reports and monthly dashboards in support of metrics reporting on intern staffing activity to divisional leaders and CFOs
• Responsible for maintaining and updating WMG intern related social media page.
• Strategically revamp and improve the structure of the internship program to adjust to the company needs, to new governmental-legal guidelines and to various social changes.
• Respond to requests for internship-employment verifications.
• Special projects as required
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Adept at high-volume recruiting within a fast-paced multi-functional corporate and creative environment.
• Disciplined self-starter with can-do attitude; proactive, resourceful, collaborative team player; detail-oriented and strong follow-through skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal stakeholders
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of employment law required
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of management
• Strong working knowledge of Web search engines, Microsoft Office Suite, as well as applicant tracking systems (Taleo preferred)
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite experience
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Prior experience working in music entertainment and/or media industry preferred
• Knowledge of employment policy and procedure and federal state laws regarding employment practices
• This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to corporate needs and employee goodwill
Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1 years of recruitment experience in a fast paced environment
