Full Time Job
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, team-player, and results-driven individual for the full-time position of Staff Accountant, Finance, based in Los Angeles. This position applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Accounts Payable related duties, including but not limited to: Ensuring proper approvals, providing financial coding, maintaining relationships with vendors.
• Vendor set-up and maintenance.
• Reconciling royalty and advance payments to the royalty system from the GL.
• Processes accounts payable for WCM Canada.
• Responsible for reconciling WCM Canada's cash from the bank to the GL.
• Processing of WCM Canada royalty run.
• Preparation of T5 and NR4 year-end tax forms for WCM Canada.
• Processing of client and intercompany chargebacks.
• Collaborate with Legal and Royalties departments on the disbursement of advance and royalty payments.
• Work with WMG PtP team to maintain monthly SAP interface to the royalty system, approval matrix, and provide relevant information and software testing for SAP system changes and enhancements.
• Assists in the navigation and collection of appropriate materials necessary for all audits – including any regular, special, or SOX related testing.
• May assist with trial balances or investigate other issues related to the financial close process, including, but not limited to the analysis of account variances.
• Must be able to read and understand materials and documents and have the ability to recognize and extract critical data and information.
• Must be able to come to work on time without restrictions as to time commitment.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, stand, walk and sit for up to at least 10 hours a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a semi-regular basis and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed.
• Must be able to work at and utilize all functions of a computer if necessary up to at least 10 hours a day to perform the required tasks and create and develop the necessary reports to summarize the results of research and projects and to communicate with others in the Company and with those necessary outside of the Company.
• Performs other duties and analysis as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience sufficient to qualify for the requirements of the position.
