Department Description:
The WEA Global Consumer Sales & Marketing team supports Warner Music’s iconic labels in their direct-to-consumer businesses by offering business and operational services across a number of areas including e-commerce, data and analytics, web property production and operations, and direct marketing and email.
High Level Job Description:
The Platform Analyst is primarily responsible for facilitating and implementing technology solutions across the various technology platforms in the Consumer Sales & Marketing service areas. This includes e-commerce, web properties, email marketing, and other interactive tools. The Platform Analyst works with team members from our various strategic and operations groups, production teams, and the Director, Platform Operations to ensure that our platform capabilities and operations are primed to achieve our business goals.
The Platform Analyst is a highly proficient communicator who is able to understand, dissect, and synthesize complex issues and requirements in a creative and entertainment-focused industry.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Creates and manages business requirements for both functional and nonfunctional capabilities, working directly with end-users and strategic directors to understand business needs and goals
• Communicates technical concepts and scenarios in a user-friendly, audience appropriate manner
• Provides support and documentation for technical teams and processes, including system documentation and end-user guides
• Responsible for user acceptance testing for new features and software capabilities, ensuring that new development enables operational best practices and meets business requirements
• Participates in project planning, requirements gathering, and execution tasks in support of platform initiatives
• Acts as project lead on small projects or sub-components of larger projects, working with cross-functional teams and driving toward key milestones to deliver new capabilities
• Analyze and identify solutions for operational issues and gaps, supporting and enhancing the day-to-day operational model
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Ability to identify, understand, and communicate issues, gaps, and opportunities in day-to-day sales and marketing operations
• Proficient in data analysis – able to look at datasets on various platforms and identify and understand inconsistencies and how they relate to technology processes
• Possesses effective judgment and initiative – able to work independently and pursue solutions with appropriate teams and business units within the organization
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum based project methodology
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing atmosphere with flexible priorities and guidelines
• Competencies in project collaboration tools such as Basecamp, issue tracking software such as Jira, and e-commerce and CRM admin interfaces
• Technical proficiency a plus, specifically database capabilities using data query tools or software development, infrastructure, and support best practices
Education Required:
• 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing operations
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in a digital agency environment, servicing multiple clients, and passion for music are major pluses.?
