Department Description:
The D2C team supports the labels in the artist to fan communication on the web. The department includes four groups: content and community development and management, E-Commerce operations, consumer data and marketing operations.
The Content and Commerce Services team is responsible for creating the best online stores for artists, working with labels on product development and management, store promotions, and web / business analytics.
High Level Job Description:
The Manager, e-Commerce is responsible for the day-to-day merchandising and management of Warner’s artist webstores. This position facilitates communication between digital marketing and e-commerce teams at Warner Bros. Records, centralized merch production teams and the Direct to Consumer teams. The E-Commerce Manager oversees the presentation of products and promotions on the webstores, back-end product setup and management, and provides reporting to label and internal teams as needed.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
The Manager, e-Commerce is responsible for:
• Supporting Label and D2C E-Commerce production teams with the development, configuration, product set-up and launch of artist webstores
• Supporting the label in merchandising the store and managing promotions
• Liaising between Warner Bros. Records and central services (D2C, merch, warehouse, and customer service teams) to
• Manage stock and back orders
• Facilitate communication between teams
• Provide ongoing sales reporting and analysis
• Managing the platform to improve the fan experience, including identifying defects, user flow improvements, and new e-commerce features
Supporting Label and D2C E-Commerce teams with the launch and management of webstores
The E-Commerce Manager will coordinate across Label and WEA teams to facilitate the launch and management of artist stores. This will include:
• Ensuring on-time delivery of label and merch team inputs (design, product, etc)
• Setting up and administering the store
• Creating and monitoring promotions
• Verifying inventory and stock
• Testing and QAing the store to ensure an excellent user experience
• Providing reporting data to Label and other internal stakeholders
Supporting the Label in merchandising the store and managing promotions
The D2C Manager, e-Commerce will provide day-to-day support to label ecommerce stakeholders to ensure stores are continually well maintained. These day-to-day activities will include:
• Timely response and fulfillment of stakeholder requests for store updates and product set-up.
• Facilitating the delivery of store-related assets
• Ensuring artist websites’ merchandise modules are up to date and featuring the appropriate product offers.
• Execute promotions as recommended by labels
• Provide reporting on promotions
Liaison between Label and WEA central services
A key part of this role is facilitating communication between the label and centralized service teams, such as the D2C Services team, the Merchandise Production team and the Customer Service team.
Maintain constant contact with all stakeholders and providers of service related to Warner’s e-commerce operation to:
• Manage and prevent backorders
• Coordinate the delivery of product assets
• Set up and oversee on-site store promotions
• Provide ongoing revenue, stock, and store activity reporting
Provide day-to-day oversight of the e-commerce platform and stores to continually ensure delightful customer experiences and smooth business operations
Using a passion for providing great online shopping experiences to customers, the ability to understand web analytics and e-commerce sales data, and awareness of general e-commerce best practices the E-Commerce Manager will work with the D2C E-Commerce platform development team to:
• Monitor the customer service team’s engagements with customers to ensure customer inquiries are being resolved accurately and affectively. Provide guidance and customer response recommendations when needed.
• Regularly test stores to identify functional problems with stores or the store admin such as issues with checkout process, product pricing, sales reporting, and customer account registration and management.
• Suggest new functionality for the stores that might improve conversion rates, lower management and customer service costs, grow average order values, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Review social media and other customer feedback locations for fan feedback and E-Commerce related issues
Education Required:
