Department Description:
Touring and Artist Development department oversees the growth of all live event business of Warner Bros artists from touring, TV shows, promotional tours – anything that involves live performance. We move, budget, schedule, tour market, production manage, and grow the artist at every level of their career.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Position reports to VP of Artist Development.
• Creating and settling tour budgets.
• Coordinate with marketing directors, sales, new media, promotion, publicity, merchandise, and street marketing to ensure touring efforts are included in all record marketing.
• Manage artist schedules with promo, sales, marketing, publicity, and video to centralize the flow of information to the artist.
• Work closely with artist managers, tour managers, marketing directors, publicists, and finance to administer and reconcile all tour support and promotional budgets.
• Book any necessary artist travel.
• Cover all NY shows, obtain credentials, VIP tables, parking as appropriate, manage meet and greets, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with a national network of music production and travel vendors, seek out new and innovative companies, and assure prompt payment of all related invoices.
• Supervise the production and schedules of special company events, artist showcases, tv appearances, in-stores, and other similar events in NY and various national locales
• Seek and create opportunities that bridge various lifestyle and retail outlets
• Develop and maintain relationships with tastemakers and key personnel at all outlets
• Provide all partners with latest artist and release info; (release dates, sales updates, radio, social networking buzz, etc)
• Generate consumer / retail awareness and enthusiasm around releases and tours.
• Other duties as assigned..
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Must be adept in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to work and think independently and able to multi-task while handling an extremely heavy workload.
• Excellent organizational skills are a must.
• Must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to run and understand basic financial budgeting models.
• 2 years music marketing and new media experience required.
• Touring/concert background highly preferred.
