High Level Job Description:
The Artist Arena Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for administering the sales & marketing process: creating presentations, preparing projections, communicating best practices to clients, and tracking and executing on upward movement of sell-through for Pre-sale and VIP Ticketing. The Sales & Marketing Manager updates the client with post-campaign analysis and works with the D2C Marketing Team to implement fan acquisition and marketing in support of ticketing campaigns.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Drive sell-through of Pre-sale and VIP Ticketing.
• Assist GM by building materials for clients including revenue projection and Powerpoint presentations.
• Handle revenue projections and financial approvals for repeat and smaller artists.
• Collect, update, and communicate best practices of presale and VIP ticketing to clients and internal teams.
• Create marketing templates to streamline client and internal communication.
• Author one-sheets on case-studies of company offerings and successes.
• Ensure all fan clubs and ticketing websites remain FTC and COPPA compliant.
• Work with relevant vendors and internal departments to develop unique approaches, including the exploration of emerging technologies and potential 3rd party partners pertinent to helping our sell through.
• Act as point person throughout client tours, from set up through settlement as the marketing contact.
• Define, organize and direct post campaign analysis to all relevant parties
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Exceptional and explicit attention to detail and follow-through
• Detailed knowledge of the Ticketing and Live Entertainment industry
• Experience with web-based software applications
• Ability to work in an open team environment
• Ability to thrive in a very time-sensitive, “under-the-gun” deadline-meeting capacity
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Experience working directly with artist managers, booking agencies and promoters is looked upon favorably.
• A love of music and an understanding of the “fan” mentality.
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the music industry.
• 3 years of sales and marketing experience.
