Department:
The Marketing Services team within the WEA Global Consumer Sales & Marketing department provides operational and strategic support to Warner Music Group organizations and their artists in planning and executing global direct-to-consumer (D2C) digital marketing communications programs – primarily email, social and mobile. These programs are designed to help move fans from casual, anonymous listeners to committed, known fans of Warner Music Group artists. These services include managing production, technology platforms / tools, building CRM programs as well as providing thoughtful insights to optimize programs.
High Level Job Description:
The Marketing Operations Manager’s primary responsibility is to support the production of email, mobile and social operations and services provided to Warner Music Group’s digital marketing teams (primarily Warner Bros. Records) to produce high-quality artist-to-fan communications programs on behalf of WMG’s artists.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day email production, including trafficking requests, managing allocation of work assigned to production resources
• Attends daily production calls with production team to manage production tasks
• Work to quickly resolve any technical issues in message functionality; serve as team lead on complex technical issues relating to message experiences
• Serve as the west coast WEA Marketing Services team representative in meetings with WMG labels located on the west coast
• Socialize program performance and ideas for improvement
• Assist in improving operations (tools and systems); work with vendors or technical teams to evolve the email management infrastructure
• Participate in ensuring that our marketing operations scale effectively and efficiently in tandem with our growth
• Support day-to-day support of special D2C Marketing Operations projects including new program development, platform management and CRM initiatives
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Must have email production experience, with an emphasis on production management and reporting
• Resourceful problem-solver who quickly gathers and understands new technologies and concepts
• Working knowledge of and enterprise-level Email Service Provider (Silverpop, ExactTarget a plus)
• General understanding of email, mobile and social best practices, including tools, technology, and KPIs
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to direct marketing and customer management programs (e.g., privacy regulations, CAN-SPAM Act, data management, etc.)
• Ability to thrive in fast paced environment and be able to easily adapt to change
• Highly motivated and capable of managing and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills a must
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention for detail
• Deep love of music, pop culture and understanding of the “fan” mentality
Education Required:
• 2 years experience in email marketing, project management and/or account management
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
