WEC - WEA Corporation High Level Job Description:
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day responsibilities for Digital Compliance and Revenue Assurance. The main goals of this department are to (a) create, recommend and implement improved systems for A/R, finance and IT to improve revenue processing and allocation, (b) oversee efforts to monitor and takedown infringing uses of WMG assets on digital platforms, (c) identify revenue owed to WMG, and (d) create and improve processes to ensure DSP compliance with our agreements, including by enforcing marketing commitments.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Coordinate audits of DSPs, including the gathering of digital deliveries, rate cards and promotion/campaign information, fielding inquiries from auditors, and verifying and confirming auditor findings
• Assist in identifying WMG repertoire to ensure completeness of revenue payments to WMG.
• Manage WMG’s relationship with SoundExchange, including tracking revenue from SoundExchange and identifying sound recordings processed through SoundExchange that should be paid to WMG
• Coordinate monitoring of DSP services for compliance with material terms of WMG contracts, including for marketing commitments, authorized usage, products offered, quality of files, etc.
• Coordinate with A/R, finance, and IT to integrate DSPs with new business models to ensure revenue is properly allocated WMG
• Identify WMG controlled repertoire that is missing from the digital marketplace and coordinate with the labels and/or account managers to make the content available for sale to the consumer
• Monitor unlicensed sites (including former partners out of contract) for unauthorized use of Warner content
• Manage the “Blacklist” (i.e., the internal listing of products to block revenue not due to WMG)
• Monitor digital suspense, including the coordination of matching revenue reported to WMG with bad or missing product identifiers
Required
Competencies/Skills:
• Strong working knowledge of digital platforms
• Familiarity with financial reports and accounting specs
• Ability to work independently as well as interface with a variety of departments and individuals
• Fast paced work environment requiring strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, with ability to prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow up, & able to work in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinker & results-oriented
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• A passion and interest in the Warner music catalog, strong analytical and negotiation skills, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and familiarity with DMD and GCDMi.
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, plus preferably 2-4 years of project management experience.
