Department Description:
Rhino Finance is responsible for the accurate financial reporting, accounting, planning, budgeting, and financial compliance for the company.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance to various Rhino departments in creating purchase requisitions, processing invoices/check requests, setting up vendors, handing petty cash, logging and coding checks received, and follow-up for check requests.
• Responsible for various key functions that support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes such as the P&L and Balance Sheet (B/S) comparatives, P&L and B/S analytics, preparation of journal entries, and the preparation and submission of financial reporting deliverables.
• Analyze financial data by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results by working with various departments to determine reasons for fluctuations
• Compile data and generate reports from the various Revenues system including WWS, Oracle Discover (ESS), eTrans, LSS and financial reporting systems – SAP, HFM.
• Create, develop, modify and manage reporting tools and templates.
• Assist management in developing and preparing flash, forecast, and budget updates.
• Maintain financial close reports and various checklists
• Deliver administrative support to the Rhino Finance Department: booking travel, setting up meeting arrangements, maintaining files, ordering office supplies, etc.
• As directed, assist with requests related to SOX compliance and year-end financial audits.
• Create and prepare various ad-hoc reports and projects to Management.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• 1-3 years accounting experience
• Must have strong Excel skills and knowledge of pivot tables. Must be able to work on multiple systems and work with numbers.
• Knowledge and use of SAP General Ledger system preferred.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills needed.
• Work well under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines while paying close attention to detail.
• Highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task. A self-starter, but someone who can take direction; works well with change and is a team player.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to the organization’s mission.
• Ability to identify, develop, and implement process changes in order to increase efficiency of our processes and the accuracy of financial records
Education Required/Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related subject.
