Department Description:
The digital marketing department of Rhino Entertainment is tasked with bringing Warner Music Group’s classic catalog into the digital age, supporting digital sales, streaming and all online promotional efforts.
High Level Job Description:
This position is responsible for marketing the Warner Music Group catalog across the online spectrum. The individual in this role will work with the Sales and Marketing Department, collaborating to bring creativity, strategic direction, and best practices in all online marketing efforts across company websites, social media properties and streaming partners. This role is also responsible for outreach to potential online partners to further expose the Warner Music Group catalog to new fans. This position is also responsible for staying in tune with the latest online marketing trends, constantly searching for new partnerships and opportunities to expose the WMG catalog across all online platforms and digital distribution channels, including internal and external partner websites, social media, streaming partners, and apps.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Work with the VP of Digital Marketing & Catalog Streaming define the overall WMG catalog online marketing strategy
• Analyze and assess the effectiveness and relevance of existing online marketing and current needs based on emerging trends and market competition
• Develop an online marketing plan, budget and revenue/consumption goals for each product release
• Oversee day-to-day online marketing/streaming music operations and maintenance
• Monitor and measure channel activity and performance across multiple partners and channels to drive strategic product and marketing decisions
• Develop core social media, search engine, display advertising, YouTube and streaming strategies for all product releases
• Integrate social activities and engagements, including Facebook OpenGraph, to augment consumer base and engagement
• Manage and mentor a team of online marketers, creating benchmarks and goals for each
Required Competencies/Skills:
• A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2-5 years of digital marketing experience, including SEM, SEO, display, and social media. A highly motivated self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented with excellent technical, project management and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to multi-task, possess strong time-management skills, have a strong understanding of digital marketing methods. Stays abreast of emerging digital trends and landscape, keeping sales and marketing teams informed of new opportunities. Requires creative acumen, and significant communication skills (written, presentation, expectation management).
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• At least 2-5 years of digital marketing experience, including SEM, SEO, display and social media.
