Department Description:
The Warner Bros Records E-Commerce Department is responsible for all aspects of: Sales & Marketing Strategy, Product Development, Creative Direction and Revenue Optimization for all of our Direct-To-Consumer offerings.
High Level Job Description:
The Director of Ecommerce position exists to drive the strategy of Warner Bros. Record E-Commerce business. Simply put, the goal of the department is to create high-quality, unique products and experiences that deliver world-class value for the global fans of our artists’.
Additionally, the Director of E-Commerce position will have a high degree of visibility across departments and will manage all aspects of E-Commerce projects to ensure all details of the initiative are delivered to artists and fans on time. This person will manage timelines, budgets, product development and marketing for the product lines. The position is also responsible for leading the E-Commerce team at Warner Bros. Records and making sure that as a whole they grow Direct-to-Consumer revenue and margin.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Responsible for product development and D2C merchandising initiatives for artist and label brands
• Create products for each artist specific web store
• Develop budgets and forecasts with SVP and lead E-Commerce team to exceed to those goals
• Develop best practices in E-Commerce as it relates to the end consumer; drive sales and increase amount per transaction
• Maintain retail calendar and an on-going strategy to facilitate marketing of store promotions while working closely with internal partners (marketing, creative, crm and platform teams) to develop and execute approach in the E-Commerce area
• Manage day-to-day site merchandising maintenance
• Provides merch content / images for communications to customers & staff
• Work with graphic designers to develop all assets for web stores including banner ads, product shots, ads, cohesive design look for overall web store
• Compile reporting and tracking metrics for all Online sales and initiatives
• Create E-Commerce presentations to present to artists and managers for approval
• Develop product P&L’s to help optimize margin goals for products
• Ensure that store experience is best in class; working with the Technology team to continue to focus on and enhance the user experience; be a student of best practices for user experience
• Facilitate creative capture and maintain product image gallery
• Provide customer service to Managers/Artists in a professional manner
• Performs general administrative tasks such as handling mail and shipments to clients
• Compiles information from various sources and utilizes the information for uses such as generating reports
• Brainstorm and help department develop new product for E-Commerce, retail and tours
• Communicate to customer service any promotions, pricing, product or site issues that may drive customer contacts
• Constantly monitor competition, identify opportunities and recommend ideas that can be leveraged for our business.
• Work with central WMG teams to continually improve and optimize the purchasing experience
• Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor as other departmental opportunities arise; Assists with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects occurring in the department at any given time

Required Competencies/Skills:
• Strong experience with E-Commerce and the ability to drive sales with creative marketing ideas and strategies
• 5 years in E-Commerce planning
• 5 years of experience in Interactive marketing and/or E-Commerce
• Basic technical knowledge and experience with HTML
• Ability to use Excel, Powerpoint/Keynote, Outlook, and more
• Knowledge of the Magento E-Commerce Platform
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• A strong track record of producing unique products that enhance an artist brand
• Exceptional understanding the web, process flow, and a customer's shopping experience
• Knowledge of web analytics and research
• Strong understanding of online buying habits
• Skilled at planning, organizing and leading complex projects
• Able to work with high profile artists and managers with professionalism
• Music/Entertainment E-Commerce experience preferred
Education Required/Preferred:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
