The Global Consumer Sales & Marketing department is responsible for maintaining our artist and label brands online sites. The team serves as an internal agency, and collaborate with the Warner Music Group’s record labels. We help design, build, and run everything from sites, e-Commerce stores, email marketing and social media campaigns.

Our team’s primary goal is to help fans be the best fans they can be. We're looking for someone to wear many hats that can help design, test, and advocate for new and better features on our sites and stores. There’s a real opportunity to shape the way fans engage with artists and music online, beyond following them on Twitter and Facebook.
The right person for the job will bring a point of view and an open mind to every discussion. They’ll advocate for the fan, and develop practical solutions that take into account business goals, timelines, and available resources. Most importantly, they are seen as a collaborator and problem solver who is calm under pressure.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a UX designer at WMG is all about making sure our websites are most effective. That can mean any of the following:
• Designing a contest to acquire new fans
• Improving the registration flow across all our sites
• Designing an AB test to experiment with a new photo gallery
• Helping build responsive web design templates to create a consistent experience across mobile and desktop devices
• Run a hallway usability test to settle a disagreement about two different layouts
• Help design and document features that will be used on the websites of some of the most famous artists in the world
• Translate high level strategy and conceptual sketches into annotated wireframes
• Collaborate closely with the user experience lead and creative directors
• Balance business goals with usability to solve business problems
• Apply a strong sense of usability and quick prototyping skills to create the best user experience
• Work closely with developers to ensure features match their requirements
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Communicates clearly, early and often
• Pays close attention to detail
• Knowledge of current (and past) web trends, and good judgment of when to apply them
• Familiarity with agile development processes
• Fan of music
Experience/Knowledge Required:
• 2 years IA and UX experience at interactive agencies, with a related degree
• Strong portfolio featuring wireframing and prototyping samples
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
