Overview:
The Brand Licensing Creative and Product Development Coordinator will assist and support Licensing Managers and Global Consumer Products and Brand Licensing team at Warner Music Group, with a specific focus on quality control, graphic design, and strategic support.
Licensing Coordinator Responsibilities
Creative/Design
• Serve as brand licensing and consumer products team’s creative and design specialist
• Communicate regularly with artists’ product managers and internal creative teams to obtain up-to-date creative assets, including artwork, imagery, logos, and style elements.
• Develop and maintain artist/brand style guides and creative assets and distribute to licensees
• Identify trends in products and develop visual merchandising concepts including product, packaging, and retail marketing material mock ups to use in presentations for major retail and new business opportunities
Product Development
• Assist managers with all aspects of product development cycle including concept and pre-production sample submissions and timely delivery of contractual final samples
• Guide licensees’ design/merchandising teams throughout product development process to ensure products resonate with artist/brand
• Inventory management and maintenance of sample archive, design/artwork references, and storage areas
• Assist with new quality control system implementation and aid licensees and artists’ management on use and flow as needed
• Support Licensing Managers with product launches including organizing and assisting with press releases and marketing materials
Brand Strategy and Business Development
• Contribute to development of brand strategy for priority artists. Collaborate and brainstorm with Brand Licensing Team to create brand objectives, content, and collateral to support strategic plans
• Assist Brand Licensing Team as needed in researching and identifying prospective partners in order to achieve category-specific objectives and financial targets
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; prior experience in brand development and marketing, consumer products, retail, and merchandising preferred.
• Comprehensive PC and Mac experience. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer, Word and Excel and strong working knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Dreamweaver knowledge a plus. Internet experience is essential; digital and social media marketing knowledge and/or experience a plus.
• Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of competitive brands and marketplace.
• Ability to balance analytics with creativity in a strategic thought process.
• Must have strong organizational and time-management skills, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects.
