Department Description:
Maximize WMG digital revenue and market share while ensuring operational account efficiencies and executing our digital strategy
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the NAD, assists in selling content, reviews and ensures release availability. Makes sure featured placement occurs, reviews top selling product/catalog on a daily/weekly basis, & assists in communicating with label sales departments. This includes but is not limited to:
• Reviewing checklist on all key new release titles to insure titles availability and maximum exposure on the site. i.e. screenshots for x-us, cleans up artist section, maintains hit list of priorities, assists in verifying successful delivery, verifies auto pre-order, submits blocked ringtones, CMA connections.
• Coordinating and compiling in store placement archive. Alerts team Monday night/Tuesday morning on any store placement problems.
• Work with NAM to help troubleshoot any delivery or go live issues, including coordinating off-cycles and redeliveries, with the WEA digital operations team.
• In conjunction with NAD and NAM, help with details for sales and marketing pitches to iTunes. Manages key release schedule and other weekly reports.
• Working with iTunes production and WEA digiops to insure execution on all sales initiatives including to help keep a current discount archive.
• Assisting in putting together decks for presentations. Maintain best practices guides on behalf of team.
• Identifying competitive strategies and commission analysis or team support to evaluate effectiveness.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Basic understanding of digital music services and subscription services.
• An ability to work as part of a team of digital sales/marketing employees to execute on goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in navigating on Internet based information systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, communicates effectively, and meets deadlines.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• 1-2 years of previous sales experience.
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
