Department Description: Touring and Artist Development department oversees the growth of all live event business of Warner Bros artists from touring, tv shows, promotional tours – anything that involves live performance. We move, budget, schedule, tour market, production manage, and grow the artist at every level of their career.
High Level Job Description: Coordinator is responsible for processing all department invoices, travel authorizations, and general administrative duties. Supports VP Artist Development & Tour Marketing and the Artist Development team.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Coordinator position that assists and reports to the VP Artist Development & Tour Marketing and Artist Development team.
• Helps Artist Development managers process all invoices and priorities, set up vendors, liaise with A/P, finance, and travel agents. Work with marketing, promotion, sales and publicity staffs to centralize the flow of touring information on a roster of 100 Warner Bros. Records artists, and be able to synthesize information quickly and distribute accurate and clear itineraries on a daily basis.
• Work with Artist Development department to compile and print meeting agendas, format schedules, and price/schedule travel.
• Develop and maintain relationships with a national network of music production and travel vendors, seek out new and innovative companies, and assure prompt payment of all related invoices.
• Manage artist schedules with sales field staffs, international marketing, and national marketing, promotion, sales and publicity staffs to centralize the flow of touring information on a roster of 100 Warner Bros. Records artists, and be able to synthesize information quickly and distribute accurate and clear itineraries on a daily basis.
• Cover numerous concerts throughout the year and obtain credentials, VIP tables, and parking for senior Warner staff and staff who work shows in the field.
• Work with tour marketers to research lifestyle marketing ideas, reach out to new small clubs, and support marketing efforts.
• Create operational efficiencies and overseeing all administrative duties within the department.
• Event planning and helping with shows/events throughout the year.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Must be adept in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must be able to work and think independently and able to calmly multi-task while handling a heavy workload
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills are a must
• Must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• 2 years music industry experience preferred
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
