The vast catalog includes recordings from current and former labels Warner Classics, Erato, EMI Classics, Virgin Classics, Teldec, Das Alte Werke and others.
High Level Job Description:
The Associate Director will be responsible for all marketing activity in North America including paid advertising, analytics, online/social media strategy and execution, and CRM. With VP, Classics, develop and execute key customer strategy and overall sales process for Classics USA and Canada working with and through WEA Distribution and supply chain organizations.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns for all major releases and artist tours across the US and Canada
• With Vice President, Classics, project manage NA-centric new release and catalog campaigns, including creation of assets, and maintaining marketing budgets
• With Publicity Coordinator, book and supervise all media showcase concerts and events
• Plan and execute NA digital marketing strategy, including management of US company brand and artist social media outlets and any US-made web assets
• US and Canadian release plan organization – Coordinating with US, Canadian, and international supply chain
• Manage co-op budgets, discounting and retail relationships, including serving as sales representative to key niche accounts
• Responsible for all sales canvass and scheduling
• With WEA, manage all physical deletions and remainder sales
• Manage touring and venue sales
• With WEA, oversee supply chain and pricing for all products, coordinate new release merge requests and soundscan reporting, creation/maintenance of all digital retail artist product pages, and new release solicitation pages
• Attendance to key concerts (REQUIRED)
Required Competencies/Skills:
• 4 years experience in music business marketing.
• 2 years experience in recorded music sales, physical and digital.
• Should be motivated to marry all marketing functions with all sales initiatives.
• Experience in artists relations is a plus.
• Must be willing to attend multiple monthly concerts in NY Metro area.
• Must be skilled in digital and social media marketing including interpretation of analytics.
• Good communication sales and dissemination of key information is required.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of classical music, including major composers and compositions, historic periods, key catalog artists and current performing and recording artists.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop required.
• Basic banner design skills a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML, as well as FTP and other web-based programs preferred.
Education Required/Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in music, music business, or business preferred.
