Department Description: The Video Production department is responsible for producing music videos for the entire Atlantic Records Group roster of artists. The department is involved in all aspects of production – from concept to completion.
High Level Job Description:
• Provide administrative support for the SVP and VP of Video Production, as well as the Manager of Video Administration on all production related issues.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Responsible for processing and tracking production invoices and purchase orders in a timely fashion.
• Manage expense reports and travel for senior New York video staff.
• Maintain detailed production and video status reports.
• Support Manager of Video Administration with video contracts, insurance and video request approvals.
• Help solicit potential directors by organizing creative briefs.
• Maintain treatment files per video.
• Arrange artist and executive travel for video shoots (flights, hotels, cars, etc.).
• Communicate special needs for artists with production companies (wardrobe, rider requests, glam, security, etc.)
• Review and distribute rough and final cuts as directed.
• Point person for all in-house dubbing and out of house dubbing related issues.
• Maintain databases (keeping track of production companies, stylists, hair, makeup, editors, DP's, etc.)
• Provide strong administrative support: answering phones, ordering office supplies and product, faxing, filing, and on set assistance.
• Manage interns.
• Catalogue and maintain library of videos for Atlantic and affiliate label artists.
• Responsible for being abreast and current with new videos and talent (directors, editors, models, etc)
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Very strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize many jobs at once.
• Excellent phone and e-mail etiquette.
• Broad knowledge of film production techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of film and music video industry and history.
• Solid understanding of the DVD production process and technical issues.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining good working relationships.
