SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Specialist, Employee Communications & Marketing for the Human Resources Organizational Effectiveness department. This position provides communications and marketing support to connect and engage Warner Bros. Entertainment employees around the world with the company's business objectives, content, products and programs that help shape its internal culture. The role produces and distributes employee-focused content, including HR-focused messaging and information, across multiple communications channels and platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creates, gathers, writes, edits and posts compelling content for Behind the Shield, the company's internal web portal. Works with internal clients to gather business unit communications and information on divisional/departmental events, content promotions and activities. Performs frequent editorial site reviews and revisions, ensuring that refreshed content is created and uploaded in a timely manner.
• Develops, edits, seeks approval of and/or distributes written communications for company-wide news, events, programs, policies, notifications, etc.
• Maintains and coordinates Behind the Shield editorial calendar, ensuring a full and diverse content schedule.
• Creates and/or contributes to marketing programs and campaigns for various employee-focused projects and programs, including benefits, volunteerism, business resource groups, wellness, etc.
• Works with Warner Bros. international employee communications and HR representatives to create or enhance cohesive employee communications and content via local, in-territory intranet sites.
• As directed, assists with production of videos for company intranet, external careers/recruitment website and other HR platforms or uses. Helps manage external video crews, editors and vendors, while ensuring content deadlines and budgets are met.
• Acquires items from various internal divisions and departments for employee giveaways on the site to engage employees further in company's latest content and products.
• Assists with ongoing enhancements and maintenance of Behind the Shield as well as the creation and development of tools to effectively measure employee communications and their effectiveness.
• Participates in various employee engagement programs, events, screenings, and activities.
• Performs other related projects and duties as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, publicity or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years professional communications or marketing experience or equivalent preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Previous experience writing about a variety of topics and for diverse audiences preferred.
• Previous experience managing outsourced graphic design and printing projects preferred.
• Previous experience in producing content, including video, for a commercial or corporate website preferred.
• Previous experience in a creative or corporate setting required.
• HTML or content management tool experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
• Strong creative writing and editorial skills required. Familiarity with AP Style preferred.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Strong creative problem-solving skills required.
• Must be fluent with Mac computer systems and word processing, including Microsoft Office.
• Must have knowledge of PC-based systems, including Outlook.
• Proficiency in Word required.
• Experience using WordPress or another a content management tool strongly preferred.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign preferred.
• Must have an understanding of social media tools and principles.
• Knowledge of photography and video production preferred, including project planning, hiring of outside crews, location scouting and scheduling.
• Experience with newsletter services preferred.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork. Must have the ability to adapt to a variety of situations and work effectively with people from all across the company, including senior management.
• Must be a self-starter.
