SUMMARY OF POSITION
WCI Global Business Services Inc. seeks a Manager, Operational Excellence for the GBSI Projects department. This position will contribute and assist in the various efforts and initiatives supporting multiple functions across GBSI along with our key business partners and stakeholders. This role requires elements of project management, the analytical capabilities of a business systems analyst, the creativity of a solution architect, and the advisory skills of functional lead. This position will be a key representative for GBSI through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to help advance the strategic objectives of GBSI and Warner Bros. This position will serve as a part of the general management team at GBSI, helping to manage resources within the Operational Excellence group.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project Management Office – As part of the PMO function within GBSI, this position will support efforts and projects across the department's operational pillars:
• Serve in a project management capacity for various GBSI projects/initiatives.
• Serve in a quality assurance role for GBSI projects, in review of functional process design and related configuration.
• Leverage project management tools and methodology, and work to refine and standardize tools and practices for all GBSI projects under the PMO function.
• Help to deliver on project/process documentation as part of transition of support to operations.
• Lead teams and manage internal resources in support of PMO functions and operations.
• Process and Service Management – Assist in managing internal and external stakeholders, including related third parties as part of implementation/project efforts and ongoing operational support.
• Assess and understand current state (including root causes with processes, technology, people) to identify improvement opportunities – including documentation of current and/or future state processes.
• Develop and implement solutions that satisfy/exceed expectations of key stakeholders and/or project sponsors.
• Develop high quality deliverables and presentations (status, updates, read-outs, etc.) catered to the audience and with close attention to detail.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
• Continuous Improvement – Maintain a process and controls focus to help design, implement and/or monitor operational processes, as part of initial configuration/implementation and ongoing continuous improvement:
• Work with project teams to analyze/document existing processes and potential gaps and develop roadmap to achieve desired future state.
• Facilitate and lead efforts in process design – identify improvements and assist in deployment.
• Design and leverage analytics and metrics for review/reporting.
• Apply related risk and controls competencies.
• Perform other duties as required at the request of the Vice President, Operational Excellence and Senior Manager, Operational Excellence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in a business related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience required.
• PMI and/or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
• 4-5 years of functional and technical project-related work is required.
• 3-4 years of project management experience is required.
• Process development / definition in an ERP environment is required.
• Experience in the development and implementation of process and systems changes required.
• Studio/entertainment industry experience a plus.
• Operational experience in HR, Payroll, and HRIS a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint required.
• Experience in managing teams and resources.
• Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Understands the functional and technical details, but can think strategically.
• Understands ERP capability to support effective decisions on supplemental applications and related interfaces.
• Can be effective across disparate environments and work teams.
• Ability to multi-task across multiple projects effectively.
• Works well within teams and effectively facilitates work between them.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools and ERPs/HRIS.
• Advanced skills in data analysis using database, spreadsheet, reporting software.
• Must be a process oriented individual – able to document and capture processes in narrative and diagram forms.
• Must be a supportive team member as an active participant and contributor.
• Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
• Must be solution oriented with the flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
• Must have excellent time management skills to perform in a fast-paced, high pressure, high volume environment.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong attention to detail (excellent quality of deliverables).
