SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks an HR Generalist for the Warner Bros. Distribution department. The HR Generalist will provide support to leadership and employees within all areas of human resources. The individual will be responsible for supporting the human resources practices and objectives and will also assist in ensuring a high standard that emphasizes quality, productivity and development of an effective workforce.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides guidance, assistance and resolution on Company policy and procedure matters. Looks into special requests and works with division partners to drive resolution.
• Supports management in defining and clarifying roles and responsibilities as appropriate. Reviews job descriptions and provides guidance and feedback regarding FLSA status, job level and title. Works with recruitment to open positions, assign resources and initiate recruitment process with recruitment/manager engagement.
• Partners with supervisors to address any staff performance management issues, development, and resolution. Also manages the distribution of documents and tracks the performance review programs, such as introductory and annual Performance Planning and Review (PPR) process. Reviews documents to ensure documents are in line with HR Standards.
• Assists Management with performance issues to ensure proper HR procedures are followed and all documentation requirements are met. Conducts thorough and impartial investigations and proposes solutions and/or any necessary action with VP of HR.
• Proactively manages the recruitment process keeping in sync with recruitment on candidate pool. Identifies any potential issues and works with management/recruitment to make changes/updates as necessary. Identify compensation ranges with Corp Compensation, looking at both the candidate pool and internal comparators when preparing offers.
• Collaborates closely with Recruitment and HRIS to coordinate hire/on-boarding of new or transferring employees. Coordinates new hire orientation packets as needed for offsite locations. Schedules employees for orientation. Handles all on-boarding documentation for all interns and off cycle (i.e. non-Monday) starters. Provides timekeeping training for all non-exempt employees.
• Conducts exit interviews for select staff positions. Recaps information in written report to VP/Director and makes recommendations. Follows-up with department management, as directed.
• Special projects as assigned (reorganizations, project support, research, etc.). JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• 3 - 5 years of HR experience required.
• Prior exposure/involvement with international employee populations is helpful.
• Must have the ability to take own initiative and work independently.
• Must have the ability to plan for, track, prioritize and execute multiple recurring and ad hoc tasks.
• Must have the ability to work well in a fast paced environment and under time constraints.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills required, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
• Strong diplomacy and adaptability attributes to deal effectively with senior executives as well as employees at all levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must demonstrate discretion and ability to handle/maintain confidential information at all times.
• Experience with personnel and payroll data systems (e.g. Peoplesoft, Workday) preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
