Department Description:
Warner/Chappell Production Music Licensing Administration Department works in conjunction with the Directors of Licensing to draft, negotiate and finalize sync/performance/all media synchronization licenses with clients utilizing production music works in commercial content. All invoicing (Accts Receivable) is processed and distributed from this department, as well as aging reports, finance and sales reports in conjunction with Warner/Chappell Finance department. This department is a source of administrative support to the Warner/Chappell Production Music licensing/sales team .
High Level Job Description:
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, team-player, and results-driven individual for the full-time position of Sr. Coordinator, Licensing Administration at our Los Angeles location. Under general supervision with some latitude for independent judgment and decision, this position is responsible for drafting and issuing synchronization licenses and invoices for all Warner/Chappell Production Music synchronization areas.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
•
License and invoice for all synch areas in close collaboration with Sales Team.
•
Resolves synchronization licensing issues with clients and/or Sales Team.
•
Analyzes, reviews and resolves revision requests.
•
Manage all aspects of contract administration for the foregoing licenses, including tracking outstanding licenses, and tracking the receipt of license fees, and other payments from clients.
•
Collaborates with Sales Team on license fee collections.
•
Process license fee payments; reconcile payment log with monthly reports.
•
Prepares various reports for Sales Team and Management as directed.
•
Maintain daily work log.
•
Maintains synchronization licensing database.
•
Works directly with VP of Business Development to ensure adherence of policy and procedures
•
Handles all related work and various projects as directed by Management.
•
Handles and safeguards confidential and proprietary information.
•

Education/Experience Required:
•
Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably with a major in business, augmented by coursework in principles of music business, copyright law and/or related fields.
•
Minimum of 1 -2 years of synch licensing experience at a record label, music publishing company, media/entertainment company, or licensing agency. Experience with Production music strongly desired.
•
A satisfactory equivalent of education, training and experience in related fields and/or educational disciplines, sufficient to qualify for the requirements of position.
