General Description:
The Payroll Analyst will handle high volume, complex transactions. Candidate must be familiar with all aspects of payroll including deductions and garnishments, general ledger, levy, support orders, multi-state, and taxes. Responsible for processing biweekly payroll for 1600 employees.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Expertise in Core Payroll Concepts and Compliance; IRS and Department of Labor rules/compensation/benefits/disposable and take home pay
• Extract, validate, and import batches from Enterprise E-time timekeeping system and load file to Enterprise V5; process other payments via EV5
• Knowledge of Accounting Principles and General Ledger account classification
• Responsible for payroll cash reconciliation; per pay period provide statistical summary recap to accounting
• Maintain manual check log per pay period
• Review and process payroll deductions, garnishments, levy, support orders
• Strictly enforce proper record keeping policies
• Maintains knowledge of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws; corresponds with federal, state, and local tax agencies
• Ensure time cards are completed and approved by managers in e Time
• Organize and create files per pay period including all changes/updates/new hires and terminations
• Run reports per pay period to validate payroll
• Work directly with HR and Finance to ensure all processes and procedures are being adhered to
Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
• 5 years of experience working in a high volume, outsourced payroll environment, required
• Strong technical competency in both HRIS, Financials ADP, and Timekeeping Enterprise E-time suites preferred
• Excellent, service-oriented communication skills required
• Able to work in a high pressure, team-work focused environment, required
• Excellent analytical skills, required
• Comfort with report generating software and MS Excel preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and great accuracy, required
Knowledge and Education:
• 4 year degree required, CPP Certification a plus
• Background in Finance and Accounting required
• Strong knowledge of Payroll/Financial/HRIS systems (ADP Enterprise V5, Enterprise E-time, ADP GL) required
• Proficient with all Microsoft suite products required
