Department Description:
The newly-formed Warner Bros. Records Fan Engagement & Channel Management department is responsible for shaping and executing all aspects of the label's social media and direct to consumer channel management strategies and online presence. Key social media and direct to consumer platforms include, but are not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vine, Spotify artist/label channels, and artist/label web and email platforms.
High Level Job Description:
The Manager Fan Engagement & Channel Management position exists to (i) ideate and implement artist specific social media, web, and direct to consumer initiatives on behalf of a designated roster of Warner Bros. Records' artists and (ii) drive fan acquisition, engagement, and retention across all social media platforms. The position will be the main artist contact for all digital fan engagement initiatives.
Additionally, the Manager Fan Engagement & Channel Management position will have a high degree of visibility across all company departments and will manage all aspects of specific WBR artists' social media projects to ensure all details of the initiatives and goals are delivered in a timely and concise manner. This person will manage timelines, budgets, content/product development, and marketing for the various platforms.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day social media presence for a designated roster of WBR artists to drive fan acquisition, engagement, and retention
Ideate and implement artist specific social media, web, and direct to consumer initiatives on behalf of a designated roster of Warner Bros. Records' artists
Optimize all fan-facing social channels for designated roster of WBR artists
Coordinate with Commercial Accounts team to optimize profiles and campaigns across revenue-generating channels
Manage online marketing budget spend for each artist
Set goals for fan engagement growth/reach and work with artist management and internal marketing teams to devise strategies to achieve goals
Work with management and internal departments to develop and maintain artist messaging calendar across all social platforms
Collaborate with internal teams, including Commercial Sales, Marketing, Brand Licensing, Video Creation, and Publicity, to coordinate WBR artist messaging and content creation for social media platforms and direct to consumer campaigns
Work with data analysis and CRM Analytics teams to derive insights from social media platforms and email campaigns and implement best practices
Work with web/mobile development team to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all web and mobile properties
Build and maintain relationships with social media platform representatives and participate in regular update meetings
Communicate product updates and best practices to artists and managers
Required Competencies/Skills:
2-3+ years professional experience in social media marketing/management, direct to consumer marketing, and/or content creation
In depth knowledge of all social media platforms and analytics, streaming and mobile services, and apps
In depth knowledge of HTML, Photoshop/graphic design software, Word, Excel, etc.
Strong organizational and project management skills with added attention to details and deadlines
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with both creative and business oriented colleagues and partners
Education/Experience Required:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
