Department Description: The Interactive Marketing team at Warner Bros Records spearheads all digital marketing initiatives for the label’s diverse roster including urban, rock and pop artists. They are responsible for building out the digital, mobile and social components of an artist’s overall marketing plan – including but not limited to: digital promotions, artist website development and optimization, fan acquisition and engagement, creation/implementation of digital tools and products to increase fan engagement, paid media campaigns, etc… Additionally, the team is relied upon to be industry-leading innovators in the digital space, anticipating consumer trends and substantive technological advancements .
High Level Job description: The Interactive Marketing Manager will be the main digital strategist for their own roster of artists and/or projects. They will craft and execute the digital campaign for those artists spanning promotion, social strategy, community engagement, e-commerce, and partnership opportunities with inter-departmental (marketing, radio, press, product development, etc..) input and coordination. They will continually look for new opportunities, services and platforms with which to partner and/or utilize. In addition to their work directly with artists, they will have a loud voice in forming overall departmental strategy and direction as operational digital specialists. Every campaign will come with mutually agreed upon goals and targets that the marketer will striving to achieve.
Responsibilities/Duties:
• Create interactive and social strategies for artists on WBR
• Lead the creation and utilization on all artist websites and social networks with updates, posts news, content, etc... Will also be involved in the development of artist websites, including wireframing, user experience design, and feature requisition.
• Heavy research of artist communities and word-of-mouth analysis (Reading and analyzing message boards, blogs, other artist sites, etc.).
• Contribute to the design and creation of artist digital assets, including photo and video content
• Quantify success and efficiency of digital promotions, paid media campaigns, e-commerce efforts, social engagement and partnerships via various analytics tools
• Assess effectiveness of various promotional outlets.
• Manage relationship with top level artists and managers.
• Integrate e-commerce and monetization into campaigns.
• Discover new sites and outlets to promote WBR artists and maintain relationships with key sites and partners.
• Research and discover new sites and platforms to promote artists.
• Coordinate with various departments: radio promotion, publicity, international, marketing, strategic marketing, and Warner Music Group.
• Filter results of online research and achievements to other internal departments.
Job Requirements:
• Ambitious individual sought who is a self-starter requiring minimal direction.
• Excellent communication oral and written communication skills are a must. Candidate will be collaborating with, presenting campaigns to and contextualizing results for a broad audience every week.
• Social strategy and paid media planning experience preferred.
• Must be proficient with using Excel, Powerpoint or Keynote and be comfortable with collaboration and asset management tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, Basecamp and the like.
• Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative and work independently.
• Candidate must have strong computer knowledge of various music applications and excellent knowledge of the Internet
• Candidate must be motivated, creative, innovative, well highly organized, detailed oriented, multitask while working under pressure, and work in a "team" environment.
Experience : 2 years’ experience.
Travel: May be required.
Education: Bachelor's Degree.
