Department Description: The Corporate Human Resources department provides general human resources support to the Corporate population at Warner Music Group. Human Resources is the hands-on partner for business leaders and provides day-to-day counsel and coaching on employee relations issues, organizational development, performance management and compliance. In addition, HR is responsible for providing and administering the Staffing, Payroll, Health Benefits and Compensation function.
High Level Job Description: Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Human Resources department and serve as the first point of contact for employees.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Administration & Generalist Function:
• Provide full support to the Manager of Human Resources for Warner Music Group Corporate. Includes support with daily tasks and projects, as well as administrative support: Calendar, Phones
• Serve as first point of contact to 300 employees at all levels in various areas; including New York, California, and regional locations. Provide information and guidance, or escalate inquires as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Update all HR / Financial reporting documents
• Create and maintain employee personnel and medical files and file paperwork accordingly; keep filing up to date on a weekly basis.
• Maintain organizational charts
• Complete unemployment requests and employment verifications
• Answer and interpret questions related to Company policy and procedures and ensure consistent application. Appropriately escalate inquiries to HR Manager.
• Ensure online exit surveys are completed, exit interviews are conducted, meet with exiting employees, and notify appropriate colleagues of matters to be considered.
• Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
Payroll Function:
• Generate Personnel Action Notice (PAN) forms and submit to the Compensation and Payroll departments.
• Process pay adjustments, PTO and OT time entry for payroll processing.
• Prepare and submit off-cycle check requests.
• Review timecards
Recruitment Function:
• Open requisitions in Taleo and follow up on approvals as necessary.
• Responsible for creating a seamless on-boarding experience for all new-hires:
• Send new hire packets to on-boarding employees through taleo
• Work with the staffing team to collect all new hire documentation
• Coordinate new hire set up
• Conduct orientation and benefits overview
• Serve as a source for all inquiries during the on-boarding process
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Strong organizational skills, follow through/up and ability to multi-task a must.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to be "hands-on" in work and in providing support to the entire management team.
• Comfort with change.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education Required/Preferred:
• 1-2 yrs HR experience
• B.A required.
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred
