Coordinator (for SVP & Head of RMRA)
Department Description:
•
The U.S. Recorded Music Rights Administration Division (“RMRA”) is an internal client services organization that consists of four main departments: Artist Royalties & Administration, Licensing & Rights Administration, Publishing Royalties & Administration, and Legal Affairs.RMRA’s primary clients are WMG’s U.S. record labels.
•
The Senior Vice President and Head of RMRA (the “RMRA Executive”) oversees the activities of the division, ensuring that each department and group fulfills its responsibilities, devising and implementing appropriate strategies for each department and group, and providing senior WMG management and the management of WMG’s U.S. record labels with regular updates regarding such activities and strategies.
High Level Job Description:
The candidate hired to fill this position will provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the RMRA Executive and work on special projects for the RMRA Executive as and to the extent requested.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
The candidate hired to fill this position will assist the RMRA Executive (and, when asked, other executives and employees within the division) with the following:
•
Answering and screening incoming phone calls;
•
Opening, reviewing and routing incoming correspondence;
•
Maintaining the RMRA Executive’s calendar, scheduling meetings and conference calls;
•
Drafting and distributing internal and external correspondence for the RMRA Executive;
•
Making copies; scanning documents;
•
Typing and revising legal documents;
•
Maintaining and updating project and assignment schedules;
•
Tracking expenses and generating and submitting expense reports for the RMRA Executive;
•
Creating, maintaining and updating various department files and records (both physical and digital);
•
Planning and coordinating divisional and other events and meetings; and
•
Performing other similar general administrative tasks, as be requested from time to time.

Candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, often involving significant, time-sensitive and/or confidential company business;
•
Candidate must be able to meet deadlines consistently and effectively while working under pressure;
•
Candidate must be able to manage multiple assignments at any given time and prioritize them effectively and appropriately;
•
Candidate must be able to work well independently and as part of a team;
•
Candidate must be able to learn new tasks quickly and possess the self-motivation to do so with minimal guidance or oversight;
•
Candidate must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines;
•
Candidate must possess strong-problem solving skills and be willing to take the initiative to identify and attempt to solve problems without being prompted to do so;
•
Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; candidate must have excellent typing and proof reading skills;
•
Candidate must possess excellent analytical, mathematical and organizational skills and be detail-oriented;
•
Candidate must have strong computer skills, including strong data entry skills (with an emphasis on accuracy) and strong proficiency using Microsoft Office’s Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications; familiarity with Microsoft Office’s Access application is preferred, but not required.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
•
Preferably, candidate will possess a minimum of between 1 and 3 years’ experience providing administrative support to a senior corporate executive; but WMG may consider recent college graduates who do not possess that minimum level of experience provided they possess a strong record of achievement, excellence and leadership during their undergraduate years, as evidenced by their resumes and cover letters.
•
Candidate should be prepared to work overtime toward the end of each quarterly royalty statement cycle; candidate should be prepared to schedule vacation days at times that will not conflict with these deadlines, so that their absences do not interfere with their ability to meet royalty statement deadlines.
Education Required/Preferred:
•
Bachelor’s degree required.
