Department Description:
The publicity department develops and implements comprehensive TV, print and online press campaigns for Warner Bros Artists.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Tour, online & regional print/TV
• Pitch writers in local markets to obtain press coverage for artists on tour
• Field incoming press calls and handle accordingly; Answer phones
• Field incoming Media requests via phone, fax, mail, and e-mail
• Coordinate all travel
• Process department invoices, PO’s, expenses, order office supplies
• Maintain department calendar and submit bi-weekly timesheets
• Work occasional projects as assigned
• Write and/or edit press releases, media alerts and biographies
• Assist and work at label and special events
• Handle requests for tickets and photo passes
• Work with artist’s management to schedule interviews (in-person and over the phone) for features and previews and connect phone interviews to ensure everything goes smoothly
Coordinate Servicing of Advanced Music and Press Materials
• Coordinate advance CD/DVD orders with Marketing Directors
• Assemble advance mailings
• Emerge PR E-mails; Information is emailed out as it is generated and approved
Maintain/Update Publicity Database and Materials
• Go through mail sent to the attention of Publicist and process
• Clip & file incoming publications
• Track and paste up clippings for Publicist
• Update journalist contact database in FileMaker, contacts and eNR
• Keep Press Kits current, available, and abundant
• Coordinate editing/duplication of footage for new release TV mailings
• Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies/Skills:
• MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Reader, FileMaker Pro, FTP, Oracle and Internet
• Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
• The ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced working environment.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Entertainment experience preferred
