SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Studio Facilities seeks talented, professional and experienced cooks to join our Culinary team. We are seeking individuals who are career-oriented, driven, reliable and flexible. The right individual has the opportunity to work in various assignments within the kitchen, grow and have a real impact on a flourishing business. We offer competitive rates ranging from $16.47-$18.23. Pay rates will be assessed based on skill level and experience. WARNER BROS. STUDIO FACILITIES oversees the physical operations of Warner Bros. Studios, one of the foremost Motion Picture and Television production and post-production facilities in the world. Physical production facilities on the historic 110-acre main lot include 30 soundstages (including one of the tallest in the world that also has an in-ground water tank) plus a 20-acre backlot that can double for almost any setting, be it a jungle in the rainforest, Main Street, USA or a bustling metropolitan city. Adjacent to the main studio lot is the Warner Bros. Ranch, a 32-acre facility which houses five additional sound stages and various exterior sets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cooks may rotate and have the opportunity to do some or all of the following:
• Commissary Dining Room / Cafeteria: Prepare meals for one of our many stations: Deli, Steam Table, Grill, La Cucina, Poquito Mas and our Fine Dining restaurant. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Take orders from customer and prepare items requiring short preparation. Serve customers in an efficient, friendly manner.
• Master Chefs Production Catering: Our 5 catering trucks provide food service for feature film and television productions, commercials and still photo shoots on location and on the Warner Bros. lot.
• Special Events: Prepare innovative, high quality food and service to all catered events on the Warner Bros. lot including movie premieres, award shows and charity events and more.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Must have at least 3+ years cooking experience in a high volume fine dining restaurant, banquet facility or hotel.
• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include frequently working beyond the standard shift.
• Occasional weekends and holidays are required based on event and production needs.
• Serv-Safe Food Handling Certificate a plus.
• Physical exertion requiring standing for long periods, walking, bending, lifting, carrying and maneuvering heavy weights up to 50+ lbs.
