SENIOR HR MANAGER
We are looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team at Rocksteady Studios.
The successful candidate will be in charge of HR at Rocksteady and will work closely with the management team to develop and implement a high quality HR strategy to ensure we have an efficient, professional, team that is well treated, supported, looked after, and motivated.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, develop, and then successfully implement the Rocksteady HR strategic plan - working closely with all the senior stakeholders on the vision for the plan to make sure everyone is aligned with the vision.
• Ensure all HR functions are legally compliant in every aspect
• Maintain and improve the overall studio culture
• Identify and proactively explore flexible solutions to workplace issues, given Home Office and local business parameters
• Work closely with the Rocksteady team to ensure the health, well-being and behaviour of all our staff are of excellent quality
• Manage and advise line management on performance management, grievances, absence, maternity/paternity, etc
• Maintain, manage and improve where possible, the HR policies and procedures
• Responsible for all remuneration logistics and payroll
• Manage staff attendance, absence and holiday systems
• Support Production staff with management of performance review process
• Support managers with HR related functions
• Maintain all staff databases
• Manage all on-boarding, probation periods and off boarding processes
• Manage all benefits and supporting staff incentives
• Partner with both US and UK based Corporate functions
Ideal Requirements
• Proven results in an HR role within a Games Development or fast growing technology organisation.
• Proven ability to operate, influence and collaborate at all levels within the organisation, particularly senior management
• Passion for being part of a world class development team
• Skilled and experienced people manager
• Confident, friendly, supportive, style of management
• Experienced and skilled communicator
• Expert understanding of current legislation and HR compliance
• HR Graduate, CIPD Qualified
Skill Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong passion for gaming is a must
• Experience working in fast-moving development environments; the ability to alter course during the journey
• Experience defining, designing, implementing, and supporting production process for creative software teams
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Able to manage within a functional matrix structure, effectively communicating to a variety of partners, decision-makers, and interested parties
• Familiar with dynamic company structures, with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Able to think outside of the box and suggest innovative solutions for the benefit of the business
• Customer service, business partner approach to HR as a profession
• Must foster professional and effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels
• Must be able to communicate effectively, honestly and tactfully, both verbally and in writing in public communications, in front of groups, and through Executive level summaries
• Must be able to work well under time constraints
• Key Collaborator, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Meticulous attention to detail including proofing;
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR Systems
