SUMMARY OF POSITION
Senior Manager, International Payroll & Projects: WCI Global Business Services Inc., GBSI Projects
WCI Global Business Services Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, International Payroll & Projects for the GBSI Projects department. This position will be tasked with management of a payroll managed service and operational support for WB's international territories, including support of payroll processing efforts. The position will require organizational skills and a solution mindset. This position will work closely with the larger GBSI International Payroll team, cross-functional teams, business partners, and external service providers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide operational support for international territories under GBSI management for payroll. This role will likely include, but will not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Work with territory and home office stakeholders to support payroll processing.
• Serve as primary home office contact for vendor/service level management.
• Work with the payroll service provider and territory stakeholders to drive metrics reporting and trend analyses.
• Work with the payroll service provider to troubleshoot issues and manage related service levels.
• Identify areas of opportunity to standardize and harmonize processes and practices across non-US territories.
• Liaise with HR and Finance/Accounting where appropriate to troubleshoot/manage requirements for territory payroll.
• Provide as functional backup for territory resources where needed.
• Track/log issues; Resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
• Identify and proactively manage operational risks.
• Provide status reports to key stakeholders, participating in meetings as appropriate.
• Lead projects and initiatives related to International Payroll Administration (IPA) for the international territories:
• Drive efforts to integrate payroll systems to WB's global HCM system, Workday.
• Lead implementation efforts for any remaining territories that have not transitioned to our selected vendor.
• Lead efforts to help transition/centralize payroll processes within GBSI regional centers.
• Review and identify process improvement opportunities with payroll processes under management of GBSI and local payroll teams.
• Lead efforts to further standardize and consolidate processes to support international payroll processing, leveraging stakeholders and governance models in place.
• Proactively monitors/reviews controls in place for all territory payrolls, working with local teams to assess and remediate any issues identified.
• Work with internal (HR/Finance/Payroll) and external (vendor/3rd party partners) to identify potential projects to address operational needs – working to lead and project manage efforts accordingly.
• As part of project management duties:
• Gather business requirements.
• Document functional and technical specifications.
• Facilitate coordination between functional and technical subject matter experts as necessary.
• Track/log issues; Resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
• Identify and proactively manage project risks.
• Provide status reports to key stakeholders, participating in meetings as appropriate.
• Document new business processes in relation to each project.
• Perform other duties as required at the request of management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in a business related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience required.
• MBA a plus.
• Functional and technical HR, Payroll, Accounting/Finance, and HRIS experience a plus.
• Experience in international (non-US) payroll preferred.
• Experience in Mexican payroll a plus.
• Five to seven years of functional and technical project-related work required.
• Four to five years of project management experience a plus.
• Experience in the development and implementation of applications/systems and processes required.
• Experience in vendor management and service level reporting – including service level analytics and metrics review.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to dissect problems and facilitate solution design amongst peers.
• Ability to implement process improvements to meet client needs.
• Ability to set and manage priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to work well within teams and effectively facilitate work between them.
• Ability to understand and develop business requirements.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• Advanced skills in data analysis using database, spreadsheet, reporting software.
• Must be a process oriented individual – able to document and capture processes in narrative and diagram forms.
• Must have excellent time management skills to perform in a fast-paced, high pressure, high volume environment.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to reason through issues and resolve problems and work well under time constraints.

• Must be a motivated, confident self-starter.
