SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks an HR Generalist for the HR WBSF department. Under minimal supervision, the HR Generalist will provide support to WBSF and HR Leadership and employees in all areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, policy and procedure adherence, compensation and benefits, compliance, performance management, recruitment, etc. This position will handle day-to-day HR duties in compliance with wage and hour laws, company policies and practices and collective bargaining agreements. Conducts new hire orientation and exit interviews for all Union and Temporary hires, and oversees the WBSF Union Temporary Pools.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and maintain solid business unit relationships, working effectively with Department Heads, management, peers and employees.
• Assist Management and HR with performance issues to ensure proper procedures are followed and all documentation requirements are met. Provide guidance and support to Division for all Human Resources needs and activities, including interpretation and application of Company policies, performance management, conflict resolution, employee concerns, and disciplinary procedures.
• Point person for WBSF Union Temporary Pool. Partners with Recruitment to ensure the Temp Pools (Clerk Floaters, Set Watch, Janitors) are staffed sufficiently. Ensures EEO compliance throughout the selection process. Responsible for managing the online temporary request forms. Tracks and monitors vacation eligibility, and sends out evaluations for all temporary assignments. Logs and tracks temp infractions and approves all temporary TADs. Partners with Labor Relations and Legal to counsel temporary employees when applicable.
• Conduct overhead union and non-union Temporary New Hire Orientations in conjunction with Corporate Training; includes preparing proper documents for distribution, reviewing New Hire paperwork for completion and accuracy, I-9 Adjudication, answering employee questions, attending GBSI orientations to ensure consistency, recommending and implementing enhancements to existing program in response to employee and/or management issues and requests.
• Monitor temporary employee status, e.g., track temp costs and utilization; provide justifications, extensions and confirmation of end dates for approved temps. Coordinate agency temporary placements with WBSF departments. Maintain Randstad placement reports/tracking requests and dates for approved temps. Generate temporary placement reports as requested.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local legislation governing employment to ensure Company compliance. Monitors all training and compliance requirements are met.
• Responsible for approving weekly Time & Attendance for all temporary employees.
• Conduct and assist in job analysis/evaluation and preparation of job descriptions, PAQ's, expectations and skills inventories.
• Partner with Compensation regarding wage/salary and benefits issues and projects, ensuring the timely and accurate administration of Company compensation policies, guidelines and pay provisions under collective bargaining agreements. Respond to management and employee inquiries concerning pay discrepancies. Partner with Payroll to quickly resolve any pay issues. Process overscale reports with corresponding justification. Process pay changes as approved and in line with collective bargaining agreements.
• Conduct exit interviews and report significant findings and patterns to HR Management.
• Assist with HR projects as needed. This includes systems reports, 200 Club maintenance, etc.JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent related experience.
• HR Certification or corresponding coursework, strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience required, preferably in an HR Generalist role.
• Must maintain and possess current working knowledge of employment laws and wage/salary and benefits administration.
• Previous recruitment experience preferred.
• Previous, demonstrated HR experience in union environment with multiple union contracts preferred.
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Bilingual English and Spanish fluency preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with large group presentations.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, prioritize with changing or conflicting priorities.
• Must have strong business acumen with excellent follow-through skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent time management skills to effectively perform in a fast paced, high volume environment.
• Able to apply common sense and integrity to issues in addition to referencing procedure, solution-oriented approach.
• Must be able to communicate and interact with all levels of employees in a tactful manner.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while anticipating future needs of the business and HR department.
• Must be committed to quality service and client satisfaction.
• Ability to quickly shift from project to project in a positive and professional manner.
• Familiar with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Prior experience with wage and salary administration.
• Experience in data entry, reporting and review of HRIS and Payroll systems, required.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, required.
