Full Time Unpaid Internship
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks an Intern, Employee Communications & Engagement for the HR Employee Engagement department. The Employee Communications & Engagement group oversees the development and execution of programs and content that inform, engage and entertain employees, in alignment with business priorities and company culture. This internship is designed to expose students interested in pursuing careers in communications and marketing to several facets of internal communications, while giving them hands on experience creating content for, and interacting with, colleagues and partners across the Studio.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with individuals in department on specific communications, marketing and engagement projects.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, department events, screenings and other activities to gain exposure to company.
• Assigned specific individual projects to work on throughout the internship which pertain to various aspects of communication and employee engagement.
• Support ongoing content and maintenance efforts for company intranet, Behind the Shield.
• Staffs company events as needed; may be asked to participate in events falling outside of regular business hours, as needed.
• Performs administrative duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma required.
• Candidate must be currently enrolled in coursework at an accredited college/university.
• Preferred students will be studying Marketing or Communications.
• PC knowledge preferred: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Mac knowledge a plus.
• Photoshop or other design software knowledge a plus.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures.
• Proficient in internet research.
• Experience in an office setting or the entertainment industry preferred.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to organize.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
