SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks an Employee Relations Specialist for the HR Employee Relations department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Schedules witness interview meetings.
• Answers the Harassment and Discrimination Hotline, listens to reported concern, summarizes complaint, calms/reassures the caller, and escalates calls as appropriate.
• Maintains a series of biweekly, on-going and early reports.
• Maintains, closes, files, and archives formal investigation files.
• Serves as back-up note-taker during witness interviews, as needed.
• At the direction of lead investigator gathers, reviews, and analyzes data related to investigations:
• Reviews email accounts on Clearwell and other forms of electronic messages via Trillium.
• Partners with InfoSec and Employment paralegals to search and retrieve forensic evidence in connection to potential misconduct.
• Performs analysis related to payroll records, badge scans, expense reports, and other company records.
• Reviews flagged background checks.
• Follows FCRA regulations with regard to informing applicants of the reported discrepancy and subsequent steps to either clear or reject the applicant:
• Engages the applicant to objectively gather relevant information.
• Assesses the veracity of the applicant's explanation.
• Drafts customized correspondence in compliance with local requirements.
• Updates Director, ER and when applicable Employment Attorney.
• Liaises with Recruiters and HR Reps, as applicable.
• Supports a professional staff of three: Answers telephones, maintains calendars, makes travel arrangements, prepares expense reports, and orders office supplies. Responds to general inquiries and/or routes calls as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• JOB RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must uphold the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Must have the ability to prioritize many projects.
• Must have strong research and analytical skills.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to take fast contemporaneous notes.
• Understanding of legal process and terminology.
• Some prior Human Resource experience preferred.
• Five plus years of business and/ or administrative work experience required-or Master's degree and two years of work experience.
• General Office Activities -Sitting, Talking, Prolonged exposure to computer.
