SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and the Warner Bros. Human Resources team seeks an Employee Communications & Engagement Specialist. The position provides support to the Employee Communications & Engagement team, a centralized function tasked with communicating to and engaging with the broader Warner Bros. employee population.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO THE ORGANIZATION:
• Creates, gathers, writes, edits and posts compelling content for Behind the Shield (BTS), the company's intranet. Assists with inbound story ideas and requests for postings from various departments and business partners. Conducts research and initiates business unit outreach to gather information for content. Maintains BTS editorial calendar. Supports internal video strategies and creation.
• Drafts and/or distributes company emails, including company-wide and HR-specific communications, as well as other written and collateral materials for employee engagement and volunteer events, presentations, etc. Creates distribution lists as needed.
• Participates in and assists with various employee engagement programs, events, screenings and other activities, as needed.
• Along with the team's Sr. Specialist, Employee Communications & Marketing, works with various internal divisions and departments to create and administer promotions such as product giveaways, contests, sweepstakes, etc. that engage employees with the company's content and products.
• Monitors and responds to correspondence and inquiries sent to shared department mailboxes, comments made on intranet, etc.
• Monitors traffic and activity of company intranet site and compiles monthly metrics report.
• Orders and manages department office supplies as well as other department program-related items, such as t-shirts, giveaways, etc.
• Conducts research for department projects, as assigned.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, HR or related field preferred.
• Previous experience writing about a variety of topics and for diverse audiences preferred.
• Previous experience managing outsourced graphic design and printing projects preferred.
• HTML or content management tool experience a plus.
• Previous experience in a creative or corporate setting required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required; knowledge of AP style a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills required.
• PC Skills: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; familiarity with Outlook and Skype preferred.
• Experience with WordPress or other web platforms preferred.
• Experience with Photoshop or other graphic design software a plus.
• Experience with basic video editing a plus.
